The following is a lovely memorial written by one of our customers who does not wish to be named. She only wishes to share her story.
It was a beautiful summer day off the coast of Long Island, New York. The sun was shining, the waves were calm, and the sky was clear. It was the perfect day to fulfill my late husband’s final wish – to have his ashes spread over the sea that he loved so much.
As I stood at the edge of the boat with the urn in my hand, memories of our life together flashed through my mind. We had been married for over 30 years and had shared so many wonderful moments together. He had always been fascinated by the sea, and we had spent countless hours on the beach, watching the waves crash against the shore.
As the boat slowly made its way out to sea, I felt a sense of peace and calm. I knew that this was the right thing to do – to release him into the sea that had brought him so much joy and happiness.
As we reached the spot where he wanted his ashes to be spread, I took a deep breath and opened the urn. I watched as his ashes drifted away on the gentle breeze, floating on the waves and disappearing into the vast expanse of the sea.
As I stood there, watching his final journey, I felt a sense of closure and acceptance. He was gone, but his memory would live on in my heart forever. And now, he would be a part of the ocean that he loved so much, forever a part of the beauty and wonder of nature. It was a fitting tribute to a man who had lived his life with such passion and love.
